Set or alter your home & piece of work addresses

Type less and become directions faster past setting your dwelling and work addresses. On your phone or tablet, y'all can also choose an icon for your habitation and work.

Tip: Y'all must be signed in to ready, edit, and discover your dwelling and work on the map. Larn how to sign in to Google Maps.

Gear up your home or piece of work address

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open up the Google Maps app Maps.

  2. Tap SavedSave place. Under "Your lists," tap Labeled.

    Tap "Saved." Under "Your lists," tap "Labeled."

  3. Choose Home or Work.

Change your home or work address

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open up the Google Maps appMaps.

  2. Tap SavedSave place. Nether "Your lists," tap Labeled.

    Tap Saved. Under "Your lists," tap Labeled.

  3. Side by side to "Habitation" or "Piece of work," tap More More and then Edit dwelling house or Edit work.

    Next to "Home" or "Work," tap More, then Edit home or Edit work.

  4. Clear the current accost, then add a new address.

Delete your home or work address

  1. On your Android phone or tablet, open the Google Maps appMaps.

  2. Tap SavedSave place. Under "Your lists," tap Labeled.

  3. Next to "Dwelling house" or "Work," tap More More and then  Remove dwelling house or Remove work.

Pivot directions to domicile or work

  1. On your Android telephone or tablet, open the Google Maps appMaps. Ready your home and piece of work addresses, if y'all haven't already.
  2. Tap Directions Directions.
  3. Select your mode of transportation.
  4. Tap Habitation or Piece of work.
  5. Tap on Pivot  at the bottom of the screen.

Hide your regular route

If your Location History is turned on, directions will sometimes show your usual way home or to piece of work. Yous can hibernate your regular road in Google Maps at whatever time.

  1. Tap your profile picture or initialAccount Circle and then Settingsand then Personal content.
  2. To hide the routes, plough off Regular routes.

Pick your favorite icon for home or work

  1. On your Android telephone or tablet, open the Google Maps appMaps.

  2. Tap SavedSave place. Under "Your lists," tap Labeled.

  3. Next to "Domicile" or "Work," tap More than More and then Change icon.
  4. Tap a new icon for your dwelling house or work from the listing.
  5. Tap Salve.

Tip:

  • You tin can only add icons for dwelling or piece of work.
  • Your labeled places are private, then they but bear witness up for you.
